This morning a Nuthatch flew along the river at tree-top height. A 1st for site. Also seen were two Ravens, on the pylons, a Hobby hawking insects over the Slurry Lagoon while a Snipe dropped into the reed-bed. There was still a light passage of swallows and martins. PS.

This morning there were two Grasshopper Warblers near the Large Gravel Pit. Two Garden Warblers were singing, the best one near the railway end of the Causeway. A pair of Shelduck spent some time on the Slurry Lagoon and two House Martins were seen near the Railway Bridge. PS.
This morning a Common Tern flew along the river before making a brief visit to the Deep Pit. Also in the Deep Pit, with a small flock of feeding Swallows, a House Martin paid a brief visit. PS.
Earlier on there was a report of a male Marsh Harrier, seen to land in the Slurry Lagoon reed bed before flying off in the direction of Holme Pierrepont.
This morning there was a report of a Whinchat on the Deep Pit fence posts below the power lines. Two Grasshopper Warblers were reeling, one by the Hump and the other by Willow Pond. Some Swifts were passing through with some House Martins and a Shelduck flew through upriver. PS.
This morning a Whitethroat was singing beside the river and a House Martin was seen. There are now four Wheatears in the ploughed field behind the Wader Scrape.
In the evening two Little Ringed Plovers were on the Wader Scrape. RW.
This morning a lot of migrants were about and a Pied Flycatcher was found in the Boundary hedge. It later moved along the hedge to Willow Pond. There were also two Little Ringed Plovers on the Wader Scrape, two Common Terns in the Deep Pit, a Common Sandpiper on the river bank, two Yellow Wagtails on the Causeway and there were lots more warblers about including Willow, Sedge and Garden Warblers and Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs. There were a few Swallows and Sand Martins and one House Martin. Also seen were a Jay and a singing Treecreeper. PS.
This morning a female Wheatear was on the Wader Scrape, along with five Little Ringed Plovers. Several House Martins and Swallows were passing through. PS.
This morning at Netherfield Lagoons there were three Reed Warblers, three Grasshopper Warblers, five Sedge Warblers, three Lesser Whitethroats, a Whitethroat, six Common Terns, four Little Ringed Plovers, two House Martins and a Redshank. PS.
Later on a Hobby was seen over the Slurry Lagoon. MS.
This morning there were two Common Terns on the Deep Pit, four Little Ringed Plovers on the Wader Scrape and two on the Slurry Lagoon dry end. There were several Sedge Warblers, three Lesser Whitethroats, three Swallows, six Sand Martins and a House Martin. PS.
The female Grass Snake was again seen along the Lower Path this afternoon. There were still not many Swifts about but a few more House Martins were seen. PS.
