This morning a Great White Egret flew over the site and a Raven was seen and heard a few times as it foraged about. Near the Causeway bench, two male and two female Bearded Reedlings were seen in the nearby reedbed. PS.

Marsh Harrier – 16th November
This morning the Bearded Reedlings were heard in the reeds along the north side of the Slurry Lagoon, but not seen and the female Pintail was still present. Water Rails were seen three times (at least two individuals) as they flew across in front of the Causeway bench. Several small flocks of Fieldfares flew through, totalling about 155. PS.

In the afternoon a juvenile Marsh Harrier was seen over the Slurry Lagoon. MC.
Bearded Reedlings – 14th November
Today at least four Bearded Reedlings presented themselves again in the N/E corner of the Slurry Lagoon reed-bed. MC
Bearded Reedling – 13th November
This morning, during the Monthly Bird Count, eight Bearded Reedlings were seen in the Slurry Lagoon reed-bed. Also seen were a Pintail, a Green Sandpiper and a Brambling . 29 golden Plovers also circled the Slurry Lagoon before flying off. MC.
Bearded Reedling – 4th November
This morning there were two Stonechats on the Ecopark and four Bearded Reedlings in the NE corner of the Slurry Lagoon. IEP.
Goosander – 25th October
This morning thirteen Bearded Reedlings were located in the Slurry Lagoon reed bed and a female Goosander flew over the site. There were a few Redwings picking berries and small numbers of Lesser Redpolls and Siskins were flying through. PS.
On the Ecopark there were two Stonechats. MC.
Black-tailed Godwit – 24th October
This morning two Black-tailed Godwits were briefly on the Slurry Lagoon. TK.
The two Pintails and Garganey were found on the Ecopark pool. There are still two Bearded Reedlings in the Slurry Lagoon reed-bed. MC.
Rock Pipit – 23rd October
This evening the Marsh Harrier was seen again over the Slurry Lagoon reedbed. JDn.
The reedbed also still contains at least two Bearded Reedlings and a very vocal Rock Pipit flew over on migration. MC.
Bearded Reedling – 21st October
This morning there were up to ten Bearded Reedlings, with eight crossing in front of the Causeway bench while others called nearby. DJE.
Bearded Reedling – 19th October
This morning there was a massive passage of Fieldfares and Redwings, with hundreds flying overhead. Also seen were a Red Kite and a Raven. On the Slurry Lagoon a Dunlin appeared, and the Pintail and Garganey were still present and a single Bearded Reedling was seen flying twice across in front of the Causeway bench. PS.
In the afternoon a 1st winter Mediterranean Gull was on the Slurry Lagoon and a male and female Bearded Reedling showed down to a few metres. Later on a juvenile Marsh Harrier was seen hunting the Slurry Lagoon. MC.
