This morning a Black-tailed Godwit was on the Slurry Lagoon and a Green Sandpiper and Common Snipe were recorded. The Great White Egret and a Little Egret were seen as well as a Hobby, carrying prey, three Egyptian Geese, and the first Common Gull of the autumn. PS.

Early on this morning two Hobbies were hawking insects over the lagoons, briefly joined by a Peregrine. A Great White Egret flew through and later on a Black-tailed Godwit explored the site before flying on. JV.

This morning two Black-tailed Godwits were briefly on the Slurry Lagoon. TK.
The two Pintails and Garganey were found on the Ecopark pool. There are still two Bearded Reedlings in the Slurry Lagoon reed-bed. MC.
Curlew Sandpiper – 29th September
At about 09.00 a Black-tailed Godwit flew onto the Slurry Lagoon. There were also two Snipe and about four Ravens were flying about. Later the Godwit flew off towards Holme Pierrepont. The Swallow family under the railway bridge had also, at last, fledged four chicks. The chicks were flying around the bridge and then back to the nest. PS.
Later another or the same Black-tailed Godwit re-appeared. Also coming in were four Curlew Sandpipers and two Ruff. RW.
Garganey – 13th September
This afternoon eleven Black-tailed Godwits were on the Slurry Lagoon. Joining them for a while was one immature Garganey. MC.

The Black-tailed Godwit is still on the Slurry Lagoon. PS.
The Whinchat is still on post too. PR.
In the evening the Whinchat was still in residence, and there were four Yellow-legged Gulls on the Slurry Lagoon. MC.
Whinchat – 30th August
This morning a Snipe and a Black-tailed Godwit were on the Slurry Lagoon. A Raven flew over the site, along the Lower Path, towards the river. PS.
In the afternoon the Whinchat was found in the same area, near the substation, as it was yesterday. MC.
Black-tailed Godwit – 24th August
Very quiet on the Slurry Lagoon today. The two Black-tailed Godwits are still in residence and a Snipe was seen flying around the Slurry Lagoon. MC.
Marsh Harrier – 20th August
This morning the female Marsh Harrier was still in residence, and was seen several times quartering the Slurry Lagoon reed-bed. Also on the Slurry Lagoon were an Egyptian Goose, two Black-tailed Godwits and a Green Sandpiper. Some Swallows passed through on passage and about twenty House Martins were feeding above the Causeway. PS.
