Three Caspian Gulls [adult, 2nd-winter and 1st-winter on roof at Enva Recycling Centre, 15:45]; also two Yellow-legged Gulls [adult and 1st-winter], 2 Hobbies, Peregrine, 2 Ravens, Grass Snake, 6 Willow Emerald Damselflies.
This afternoon, during the bird-walk, a Jack Snipe was flushed from the muddy shore-line in front of the Causeway bench. The three Pintail were still present on the Slurry Lagoon, along with Shoveler, Wigeon, Teal and Gadwall and the Green Sandpiper was at the back with several Snipe. PS.
A male Stonechat was seen near the Small Gravel Pit this afternoon. Also seen were several House Martins and a Sand Martin, one Grey Wagtail and six Common Snipe. RW.
This afternoon there were two Spotted Flycatchers seen along the Ouse Dyke. One of them caught a Speckled Wood. A Wheatear was seen still on the dry end of the Slurry Lagoon and the two Pintail and a Yellow-legged Gull were on the wet end.
