This morning a Water Rail was showing well at the edge of the large pool on the Wader Scrape. A Raven was posing at the top of a pylon and two flocks of 200 and 25 Lapwings flew through high and to the south. PS.

This morning, at the Enva plant, a Caspian Gull, Yellow-legged Gull and a hybrid gull were seen. There were fifty Lesser Redpolls in the Slurry Lagoon birches and 150 Pink-footed Geese went through to the SW. There was also a single Raven seen, flying south. PR/MC
Three Caspian Gulls [adult, 2nd-winter and 1st-winter on roof at Enva Recycling Centre, 15:45]; also two Yellow-legged Gulls [adult and 1st-winter], 2 Hobbies, Peregrine, 2 Ravens, Grass Snake, 6 Willow Emerald Damselflies.
This morning two Ravens flew over the reserve. A Snipe was on the little beach in front of the Causeway bench and five Little Egrets were at the back of the Slurry Lagoon. PS
This morning a Great White Egret flew over the Slurry Lagoon and down into the Ouse Dyke. Two Egyptian Geese flew over the site, a Reed Warbler was still foraging in the Slurry Lagoon reed-bed, and a Raven flew up from the Slurry Lagoon to the pylons carrying a large piece of food. PS.
This morning two Ravens were flying over by the new pylon area and a Hobby flew high over the site heading south. There were fifteen Little Grebes on the Slurry Lagoon. IEP, PS.
Early this afternoon two Ravens were seen flying over the Deep Pit. PG.
This morning, on the flooded land beside the Ouse Dyke, a Green Sandpiper and a Mistle Thrush were seen, also a Kingfisher on the Ouse Dyke. A Raven flew over the site, calling, and two Chiffchaffs were heard calling. SC/PG
This evening, at dusk, two Woodcocks were seen, flying out to feed. During the day a Caspian Gull was seen on the recycling plant roof and two Ravens and a Green Sandpiper were also seen. RW.
