This morning a male Goosander circled the site and two Ravens were about most of the morning. The Bearded Reedlings were heard, but not seen, from the Causeway. PS.

Shelduck – 22nd November
This morning there were seven Shelduck on the Slurry Lagoon. Late morning a female Goosander flew through and a Peregrine was seen along the pylons. There were several small flocks of Fieldfares and Redwings. PS.
Goosander – 25th October
This morning thirteen Bearded Reedlings were located in the Slurry Lagoon reed bed and a female Goosander flew over the site. There were a few Redwings picking berries and small numbers of Lesser Redpolls and Siskins were flying through. PS.
On the Ecopark there were two Stonechats. MC.
Goosander – 25th March
This morning there were two male and two female Blackcaps along the Lower Path. On the Large Gravel Pit there was a female Goosander. The Blackthorn by the steps down to the metal footbridge attracted several butterflies including three Small Tortoiseshells, two Commas and a Peacock, as well as several Bee Flies and some hoverflies and bees. Peregrine – 22nd December
This morning the fifty plus Lesser Redpolls were in birches at the dry end of the Slurry Lagoon. Six female Goosander flew over the Large Gravel Pit and at least one of them came in and landed. Later in the morning two Peregrines were seen taking a kill to the top of the new pylon. PS/IEP.
Goosander – 18th December
This morning a male Goosander flew upstream, over the site. Eighteen Lesser Redpolls were in a birch tree in the Slurry Lagoon reedbed near the southern end of the Causeway. PS.
In the afternoon a male and a female Bearded Tit were in the Slurry Lagoon reedbed. RW.
Goosander – 28th November
This morning a male Goosander flew SW over the Slurry Lagoon and two Treecreepers were seen on trees along the Riverside Walk. PS.
Goosander – 14th November
This morning, during the bird count, two Goosander flew over and a Great White Egret was seen across the river. NWG.
Mandarin – 20th March
This afternoon a male Mandarin was on the Trent, near the Poulter Brook, and a pair of Goosanders were nearby. There was a large aggregation of at least 500 Black-headed Gulls on the Deep Pit. JDn.
Goosander – 8th March.
A pair of Goosander were on the river this morning and a large flock of winter thrushes were on the Ecopark. Kingfisher, Green Woodpecker and Grey Wagtail were also seen. SC/PG.
