This morning, during the Bird Walk, a Raven flew over the site, several Siskins and a Redpoll were seen and an Egyptian Goose flew over from the Ecopark. At the end of the walk two Redshank flew in and looked like they went to the flashes across the river. PS

Raven – 26th November
This morning a Raven flew over the site, carrying a corn-on-the-cob, a Snipe flew over the Causeway and a Water Rail flew in front of the bench, one of up to eight heard. PS.
Merlin – 26th November
As the Starlings came to roost this evening a Merlin dashed in and caught one of their number. Later the geese came in and what may have been a Woodcock flew past, in the gloom. PS.
Peregrine – 26th November
The Peregrine was sitting on his favourite pylon this afternoon making sorties over the ploughed field but I didn’t see him catch anything. In the Ouse Dyke two Little Egrets were again fishing and on the Large Gravel Pit the five Red-crested Pochard are still present. JMD.
