This morning the Slurry Lagoon carried a good variety of ducks, including Shoveler, Teal, Goldeneye and Pochard, and three Goosander flew over. Also Water Rail and Cetti’s Warblers were heard. PS.

Bearded Tit – 20th December
The male Bearded Tit was showing again in the Slurry Lagoon reed bed. Also recorded were five Common Snipe, six Water Rail and sixteen Goldeneye. A Peregrine was on one of the pylons. RW.
Stonechat – 19th December
This morning a male Stonechat was in the field by the sub-station. A Chiffchaff was seen along the Ouse Dyke and a Water Rail ran across it as well as at least two more were heard calling. JMD.
Bearded Tit – 18th December
The still, sunny weather brought the male Bearded Tit out this morning and good, though distant, views were had as it foraged in the Slurry Lagoon reed bed. JMD.

The male Bearded Tit was still present on the Slurry Lagoon this morning. JMD.
Egyptian Goose – 3rd December
This morning two Egyptian Geese flew north over the site. A Barn Owl was seen flying from the box and a Lesser Redpoll was seen on the Lower Path. On the Large Gravel Pit there were fourteen Goldeneye and about 160 Pink-footed Geese flew west over the site. PS.
In the afternoon a male Bearded Tit was seen in the Slurry Lagoon reed bed, a Peregrine was on one of the pylons and another 64 Pink-footed geese flew over. RW.
Stonechat – 1st December
A male Stonechat was seen on the Wader Scrape early this afternoon. RW.
Bearded Tit – 28th November
Early this afternoon a male Bearded Tit was seen in the Slurry Lagoon reed bed. RW.
Raven – 26th November
This morning a Raven flew over the site, carrying a corn-on-the-cob, a Snipe flew over the Causeway and a Water Rail flew in front of the bench, one of up to eight heard. PS.
Glossy Ibis – 24th November
This morning there was a report of a Glossy Ibis, seen from the site, flying over Morrisons. In the evening the Starlings were seen flying past in several large flocks to roost off the site. One Barn Owl was seen on the Wader Scrape. PS.
