The female Stonechat is still around the Ecopark. There was some movement of Skylarks over the site, two Sparrowhawks were seen and there were two pairs of Goldeneye in the Deep Pit. IEP.

An adult male Caspian Gull was on the roof of the Enva processing plant today. MC.
In the morning three Shelduck were flying about the site and fifteen Lesser Redpolls were in a birch in the Deep Pit. PS
This morning there were seven Whooper Swans on the Deep Pit. They had probably spent the night there and had gone by 08.30. There was also a flock of about 20 Lesser Redpolls in a Deep Pit birch tree and a Peregrine was on the new pylon again. PS.

In the evening there were about 10,000 Starlings at the roost , eight more Whooper Swans were seen flying NW and a Tawny Owl was calling from the Deep Pit bank. PR.
This morning a Red Kite flew over the site, accompanied by a rather diminutive looking Carrion Crow, in the direction of Gedling Pit Top. In a birch tree beside the Causeway was a flock of about fifty Lesser Redpolls. PS.
This morning the Black-headed Gulls resting on the Slurry Lagoon ice were rudely disturbed by a Bittern as if swapped reed-beds in front of the Causeway bench. A flock of 25 Fieldfares were also seen, heading west.
