This morning between four and six Hobbies were seen over the Gravel Pits. A Grasshopper Warbler was reeling on the Ecopark. JV.

This morning there were four species of damselfly and Hairy Dragonflies flying on the reserve as well as several species of butterfly including Green Hairstreak, Common Blue and Dingy Skipper. At about midday six Hobbies appeared and hawked insects high above the Small Gravel Pit. PS
This morning several Green Hairstreaks were seen as well as a Dingy Skipper. PS.
In the late afternoon a Bittern was seen flying across the Causeway, pursued by gulls, and dropping into the reed-bed. MW.
This morning a female Winchat was on the Ecopark along with a Yellow Wagtail and 3 LRPs.
A Hobby passed over the Deep Pit heading south and there were six Common Terns on the Deep Pit. IEP.
Later on a male Whinchat was reported on the Ecopark. JDn/RW.
Five Holly Blues, five Green Hairstreaks and a Dingy Skipper were seen around the Deep Pit and along the Lower Path. PS.
This morning there were three Common Terns displaying over the Deep Pit and a teneral Common Blue Damselfly was found at the back of the Large Gravel Pit. Four Green Hairstreaks and two Dingy Skippers were seen on the Butterfly Bank. PS.
In the afternoon a Brown Argus was also seen on the Butterfly Bank. RW.
The Wood Sandpiper was still on the Ecopark this morning, also a Snipe and 3 LRPs.
Later I got a Yellow Wagtail and 2 White Wagtails in the same area. IEP.
