There was a Peregrine on the New Pylon this afternoon. There were also several Redwing a Fieldfare and an Oystercatcher about, and two Goldeneye still on the Large Gravel Pit. IP.

Treecreeper – 3rd March
This morning a Raven spent some time on the site and one of the pylons, whilst a Peregrine was on the new pylon. A Chiffchaff was singing along the Lower Path and a Treecreeper was in the willows at the river end of the Boundary Hedge. Some Oystercatchers were heard but not seen on the flooded field across the river. PS.
Stonechat – 3rd March
This morning a female Stonechat was at the foot of the bank in front of the Wader Scrape. Four Cetti’s Warblers and two Water Rails were heard and a flock of thirty Redwings was on the Wader Scrape. PS.
Blackcap – 3rd March
This morning a male Blackcap was singing along the Ouse Dyke. There were also two Goldcrests and a Treecreeper was bathing in the Ouse Dyke. Also seen were two Red-crested Pochard on the Slurry Lagoon and a party of Siskins feeding in alders. PS.
