This morning a White-fronted Goose flew low to the north, over the Slurry Lagoon. Several queen Buff-tailed Bumblebees were flying and three Chiffchaffs were seen. PS.

A Green Sandpiper was on the Ecopark, as well as a flock of twenty Chaffinches which also contained a Lesser Redpoll and there were good numbers of Redwings. The Chiffchaff was still along the Ouse Dyke and a male Goosander flew over the Deep Pit. IP.
This morning there was a massive movement of gulls through the lagoons, especially Black-headed Gulls, mostly going between north and west. There were also lots of Snipe flying in in small groups which added up to about 34 whilst watching, dropping into the Slurry Lagoon reed beds. The male Stonechat was still visible in front of the sub-station but the female did not show. PS.
Six Whooper Swans flew north-east over the reserve this morning. There were two Little Egrets in the willow on the Large Gravel Pit and three Shelduck were on the Slurry Lagoon. A Water Rail was seen briefly as it flew from cover to cover in the Deep Pit. AE. PS.
