This morning two Willow Warblers were heard, rather half-heartedly, singing. The male Pintail showed briefly on the Slurry Lagoon before disappearing into the reeds and five Oystercatchers flew over in a high and very noisy display flight. PS.

Garden Warbler – 5th April
This afternoon there were three Little Ringed Plovers on the Eco-park. There was a Garden Warbler singing as well as a Willow Warbler, five Blackcaps and several Chiffchaffs. There was also what possibly was a White Wagtail on the Eco-park. IP.
Ruddy Shelduck – 5th April
This morning a Ruddy Shelduck accompanied three Egyptian Geese as they flew over the site. The Jack Snipe was still on the Wader Scrape. PS.
Swallow – 5th April
There were three Swallows and three Sand Martins seen today, as well as three Oystercatchers and a Grey Wagtail. SC.
Sedge Warbler – 5th April
This evening a Sedge Warbler was heard beside the Deep Pit. RW.
Oystercatcher – 5th April
This morning there were three Oystercatchers on the Wader Scrape. There were also two Little Egrets, 30 Gadwall and some Lapwings. A Redshank flew through to the east and a Peacock butterfly was near the dry end of the Slurry Lagoon. PS.
Black Redstart – 5th April
In the early afternoon a female/first winter male Black Redstart was seen on the fence posts at the north end of the Slurry Lagoon. Later on there were 68 migrating Common Gulls on the Slurry Lagoon. RW.
