This morning a Curlew flew over the site, calling.
In the afternoon – on the Dragonfly Walk – good numbers of Brown Hawkers, Migrant Hawkers and Red-eyed Damselflies were seen, as well as Common Blue Damselflies, Banded Demoiselles, a Brown Argus and a Willow Emerald. PS.

The Great White Egret was present again this afternoon but later flew off towards the west. The Garganey is still present on the Slurry Lagoon. JDn.
The juvenile Black Tern came in to roost again tonight with the Common Terns on a tern platform. JMD.
Three Dunlin were feeding along the edge of the Slurry Lagoon this afternoon and one Common Snipe was on the edge of the reeds. JMD.
In the late afternoon a Peregrine flew low over the Slurry Lagoon, panicking all the birds below. The ducks flew out to the centre of the lagoon and floated in a raft. Amongst them was swimming a Black-tailed Godwit. The Peregrine had a tail feather projecting about one third of its length beyond the rest of the tail and hanging slightly below the others. It gave a sudden buck as it flew overhead and flicked the loose feather out, then dived down to swoop beneath it. Later a Buzzard drifted over but caused no reaction at all.
