About midday today a Glossy Ibis flew around the Slurry Lagoon, looking to land, but thought better of it. Also, there were two female Pintails and the juvenile Garganey. MC.

Golden Plover – 13th October
This morning the drake Mandarin was back with the Greylag Geese on the field across the river. Seven Golden Plover flew northwards across the site. PS.
Stonechat – 13th October
This afternoon a male Stonechat was seen at the back of the Wader Scrape. Two Redwings flew over and four Water Rails were heard calling from the Slurry Lagoon reedbed. PS.
Rock Pipit – 13th October
Today there were several migrants seen at the site, including a Rock Pipit, three Fieldfares, Redpoll and a Dunlin as well as small numbers of Skylark and Meadow Pipits. RW.
