Today, what was probably a Siberian Chiffchaff was seen along the Ouse Dyke. A Green Sandpiper was on the flooded Ecopark. 8,000 Starlings came to the Slurry Lagoon reed-bed, as did a Marsh Harrier. Eight Snipe and a Woodcock were also seen. RW.

Bearded Tit – 6th February
About forty Lesser Redpolls were seen in the late morning. There were also nine Common Snipe on the Slurry Lagoon. In the late afternoon a Bearded Tit was heard at the dry end of the Slurry Lagoon. RW.
Green Sandpiper – 6th February
This morning the Green Sandpiper was seen again in the Ouse Dyke, along with a Grey Wagtail. The Jack Snipe was bobbing in its usual place on the Wader Scrape. SC.
