A Little Egret was present on the edge of the Slurry Lagoon this afternoon – also present were two Black-tailed Godwits. The juvenile Water Rail was seen again creeping in and out of the reeds. JMD.

Little Ringed Plover – 7th July

A Hobby stirred up the Swallows by the Railway Bridge just before a downpour forced us to take shelter under the bridge. The downpour brought down a Common Sandpiper in the Deep Pit and a Little Ringed Plover on the Slurry near ‘The Beach’. A Grasshopper Warbler was reeling in the Slurry reed bed.
