Green Sandpiper – 29th June

This morning there were again two Green Sandpipers on the Ecopark pool. There were plenty of butterflies about, including two Small Skippers. PS.

Yesterday evening an adult Mediterranean Gull was on the Ecopark pool. RW.

Curlew – 29th June

This morning about sixty Swifts were feeding over one corner of the Slurry Lagoon and three Curlews flew over to the north, calling. The female Pintail was still present on the Slurry Lagoon. PS.

A Little Gull thought to be the same bird as yesterday was present on the Slurry Lagoon from mid afternoon until 6.45 p.m. at least

Red Kite – 29th June

A Red Kite was seen flying over the reserve early this afternoon. A Hobby was also present. On the Slurry Lagoon there was an adult and a juvenile Little Ringed Plovers.
