Marsh Harrier – 23rd June

This morning a Hobby flew over the Slurry Lagoon. A little later a superb adult male Marsh Harrier investigated the reed beds, but was driven off by the Common Terns. The male and female Shoveler were also still present. PS

Pyramidal Orchid – 23rd June

During the Wildlife Walk today, around thirty Pyramidal Orchids were found on the Deep pit bank. Also seen were several species of butterfly including Large and Essex Skippers, and a Hobby. PS.
