Description
Over all length 8 - 10mm. The male is very hairy and a mustard-yellow colour. The female is less hairy and a greener colour. The antennae are black.
Habitat
Hedgerows and woodland edge. Often seen in large numbers on cow-pats.
Status and distribution
Common throughout Britain with a westerly bias, especially in Wales. Very common on the reserve.
Best time to see
May to October.
