Tricholauxania praeusta

Description

Over all length about 4mm. Dull orange with slightly darker eyes. The tips of the wings can have some shading.

Habitat

Hedgerows, woodland edge and well vegetated brownfield sites. The larvae being found amongst dead leaves.

Status and distribution

Common and widely distributed throughout most of Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to October.
