Ceraclea nigronervosa
Description
Forewing length to 13mm. This species has a black, hairy body and large brown eyes. The wings are strongly patterned with dark veins. The antenae are about three times the wing length.
Habitat
Slow rivers and lakes.
Status and distribution
Fairly common and widespread in Britain. Fairly common in Nottinghamshire and recorded once at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
May to August.
