Description

Wingspan 23 - 27mm. The wings are marked with a pattern of pale browns.

Habitat

Dry grasslands where Tansy is the food plant for its larvae.

Status and distribution

Widely distributed but local throughout Britain. Local in Nottinghamshire and fairly common at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

June and July.
