Elachista argentella

Description

Wingspan 11 to 12mm. A small, all white moth. One of several very similar species.

Habitat

Grasslands and meadows. The larva mines a grass leaf, normally from the tip down.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread through out Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to August.
