Description
Wingspan 30 - 35mm. Whitish wings with curved sandy-coloured cross lines.
Habitat
Damp woodlands. The larvae feed on sallows and poplars.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread through most of England except Lincolnshire. Less common in Wales and northern England and local in Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
May to September in two broods.
