Javesella discolor
Description
Over all length 2.5 to4mm. There are three similar species but J. discolor generally has shorter wings, although macropterous forms of all species do occur. The outer edges of the wings are pale, whitish and the scutellum has a pale tip.
Habitat
Found in long grass in a variety of habitats.
Status and distribution
Widespread and common in all of Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
April to November.
