Description

Body length 4 - 5mm. Pale green with red bases to the antennae, long tibiae, and long wings with dark spots on them.

Habitat

Damp, marshy ground where Hairy Willowherb grows, their preferred food plant.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread throughout most of Britain, but less common in upland areas in Wales, Scotland and the south west.

Best time to see

July to October.
