Macrolophus rubi

Description

Body length up to 4mm. A slim, green bug with a ruby red eye. There is a short black line from the eye to the forward edge of the pronotum and a black spot in the middle of the dorsal surface.

Habitat

Normally found on bramble.

Status and distribution

Thinly distributed across mainly the southern half of Britain. Uncommon in Nottinghamshire and recorded once at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

June to September.
