Ectopsocus briggsi
Description
Over all length 1.5 to 2mm. Very small with wings much longer than the body and long antennae. There are two dark marks on the forewings where the veins reach the edges of the wings.
Habitat
Woodland edge, hedgerows where they feed on algae and fungi on the leaves.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread throughout Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
All year.
