Stenopsocus stigmaticus
Description
Over all length 2 to 3mm. Mainly green with some black markings on the abdomen and the top of the thorax and black eyes. There is a strong black line near the tip of the wing.
Habitat
Woodland and woodland edge on trees, especially Hawthorn.
Status and distribution
Not often recorded but fairly widespread through southern Britain and less common further north. Uncommon in Nottinghamshire and recorded once at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
May to November.
