Description

Body length 6 - 10mm. The 'spinner' is apricot coloured. This moults to become the sexually mature 'dun', which is duller, and more olive. There are 51 species of Mayfly in Britain, some of which are very similar and need microscopic examination to determine their species.

Habitat

Small ponds and ditches.

May to September.
