Ramonda spathulata

Description

Over all length 8 to 10mm.It is a dark metallic grey, with pairs of pale markings on the abdominal segments.

Habitat

Woodland edge, hedgerows. The larvae develop in Noctuid moth caterpillars.

Status and distribution

Thinly spread over Southern England and Wales. Uncommon in Nottinghamshire and recorded once at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

April to May.
