Clouded Daisy Fly

Description
Over all length 4mm. This fly has an orange head, grey body and heavily patterned wings.
Habitat
Grassy areas and brown-field sites. The larvae develop in a gall in the root of Ox-eye Daisy Leucanthemum vulgare.
Status and distribution
Distribution is not well known. Fairly regular on the reserve.
Best time to see
June to August.
