Long-horned Black Legionnaire

Description
Over all length 5.5 - 6.5mm. This is an all dark species with completely dark legs. It is very hairy and has a glossy thorax.
Habitat
Wet areas along woodland edges and other sheltered damp situations.
Status and distribution
Fairly common and widespread over the whole of Britain. Common on the reserve, especially on the Lower Path, Willow Walk and other sheltered places.
Best time to see
Mid-May to September.
