Description

Forewing 8 to 10mm. The forewings are brown with four short white marks. The legs are mainly white and the antennae white ringed with black.

Habitat

Slow moving rivers and streams.

Status and distribution

Widespread in England and Wales but less so in Scotland. Not often recorded in Nottinghamshire and recorded once at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to September.
