Description

Wingspan 28mm. A very plain grey/buff to brown/buff veneer with a pale stripe along the fore-wing.

Habitat

Dry, grassy areas. The larva feed on grasses, mainly Sheep's Fescue.

Status and distribution

Nationally Scarce. Mostly confined to the southern counties of England. Rare in Nottinghamshire and recorded once at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

July to August.
