Description

Wingspan 9 - 10mm. A dark grey moth with a white dorsal blotch, divided by three dark stripes.

Habitat

Grasslands and open spaces where the food plant, clover, occurs.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread throughout England and Wales. Less common in Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to June, August.
