Description

Over all length 7mm. A bright orange and brown bug with long orange antennae and legs. The cuneus is orange and the scutelum shows variable amounts of orange.

Habitat

Mostly found in oak trees, where it feeds on oak sap and small insects.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread in England and Wales. Common in Nottinghamshire and found once at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

July to October.
