Compsidolon salicellum

Description

Over all length 4mm. A small pale coloured bug. The forewings are brown with pale markings, the cuneus is pale and there is a dark line across the wing membrane. The hind femur is dark whilst the rest of the legs are pale.

Habitat

Found on woody plants, especially Bramble where it feeds on mites.

Status and distribution

Fairly common but restricted to the southern half of Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

July to October.
