Description
Body length 5.5 - 8mm. A small black shieldbug with white markings on the wing cases. The lateral abdominal margin is banded black and white.
Habitat
Woodland edge and hedgerows where they feed on White Dead-nettle or Black Horehound.
Status and distribution
Fairly common in southern Britain but absent from Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
April to August.
