Pinalitus cervinus
Description
Over all length 4mm. A very variable species, with a black tip to the second antennal segment. The very tip of the cuneus is red and the fore-wings transparent, but with flattened pale hairs covering them. The over all colour varies from brown to green.
Habitat
Woodland, woodland edge and hedgerows. It is generally on Lime, but also found on Ash, Hazel and Ivy.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread throughout Britain and common in Nottinghamshire. Recorded once at Netherfield Lagoons.

All year.
