Cixius nervosa

Description

Over all length 6.5 - 8.5mm. The wings are transparent and form a roof over the abdomen. They are lightly marked with dark spots and a transverse band.

Habitat

A wide variety of deciduous trees and shrubs.

Status and distribution

Widespread and common throughout Britain. Fairly common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to October.
