Cixius nervosa


Over all length 6.5 - 8.5mm. The wings are transparent and form a roof over the abdomen. They are lightly marked with dark spots and a transverse band.


A wide variety of deciduous trees and shrubs.

Status and distribution

Widespread and common throughout Britain. Fairly common in Nottinghamshire and recorded twice at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to October.
