Description

Over all length 5 to 6mm. A very variable species which can be shades of brown or have patches of yellow.

Habitat

Found on Alder.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread on Alder across England and Wales and less often recorded in Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to September.
