Idiocerus stigmaticalis
Description
Over all length 6 - 7mm. A highly patterned species in a large and difficult group. The veins describing the apical (furthest from body) cells in the wing line up in this species.
Habitat
Normally associated with willows. These pictures were taken on nettles below a willow.
Status and distribution
Common and fairly widespread in Britain on willows. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
July to October.
