Description

Wingspan 62 - 72mm. Pink and olive-green. An unmistakeable moth.

Habitat

Woodlands, hedgerows, gardens and parks. The caterpillars feed on willow-herbs and bedstraws.

Status and distribution

Common and widely distributed in England and Wales. Less common in Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to August.
