Description

Over all length 5mm. A small beetle with a random pattern of punctures over its elytra which have an iridescent sheen.

Habitat

Found on species of St. John's Wort.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread throughout England and Wales but less well distributed in Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

June to August.
