Description
Body length 7 - 9mm. A small round beetle that can tuck its legs in and play dead.
Habitat
Damp mossy areas where they feed on mosses and liverworts.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread in southern Britain. Less so further north. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
All year.
