Description

Over all length 4 to 5mm. A brown and grey weevil with a large dark patch at the bases of the elytra.

Habitat

Found on field margins and brown-field sites or anywhere where their food plants, Docks or Sorrels grow.

Status and distribution

Fairly common and widespread in England and Wales but less common in Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to August.
