Description

Over all length 3 - 4mm. Yellow with black spots. The pronotum is normally yellow but can be a creamy colour.

Habitat

Woodland edge and hedgerows, where it feeds on mildews on herbaceous plants, especially umbellifers.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread in England, not so common in Wales and uncommon in Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

April to August.
