Description

Body length 12 - 20mm. Very similar to V. vulgaris. See that species for distinctions.

Habitat

Woodland, hedgerows, parks and gardens.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread in southern Britain, less common in the north. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

March to November.
